Anglers buy a permit on their phone at any hour, the club knows who is on the water and when, and the money lands in the club’s own Stripe account the same day. It works for a club with a full membership system and for a fishery that only sells to the public.
What a shop, a hut and an honesty box cost a club
Most clubs sell day tickets through a local shop, a hut that is open when someone is free, or a box on a gate. The shop takes a cut and closes at six. The hut depends on a volunteer. The box depends on honesty, and on someone counting it.
None of them tell the club who fished yesterday. A water keeper meeting a stranger on the bank has no way to check a paper ticket bought in a shop, and the treasurer finds out how the season went in October.
How permit sales work

The angler buys on their phone
Your permits page shows the waters, the rules and the price. They pick a date, add the people fishing, and pay by card. It takes about a minute, at six in the morning or eleven at night.

The permit arrives instantly and works offline
Each angler gets their own digital permit, on the phone, readable with no signal. A keeper can see the date, the water and the name without a list.

The club sees every sale
Who is on the water today, what sold last month, what the season did. Set a limit per day, close a water for a match or a spate, block off the closed season.

Keep the shop if you want to
Some anglers will always buy over a counter. A permit sold in the shop can be recorded the same as one sold online, so the record is still complete.
The money goes straight into your own Stripe account
Anglers pay the club directly and the money is yours before it is anyone else’s. We never sit between a club and its permit income, and there is no float held by us. The plan fee is on the price list, not hidden at checkout.

Our own club sells day permits for its Boyne stretches this way. Visiting anglers buy the night before or from the car park, and the keepers know who to expect. Ten Irish clubs run on Tadpole today, and day permits are the first thing most of them switch on.

What committees ask us
- We do not run memberships. Is this still for us?
- Yes. A fishery that only sells to the public gets a website and a permit shop and nothing it does not need. If it wants members later, the membership side switches on from a date and nothing moves.
- Can a keeper check a permit without signal?
- Yes. The permit is on the angler’s phone and opens without coverage. The keeper reads the date and the water off it, the same as a paper ticket, except it cannot be from last year.
- What if the river is unfishable?
- Close the water for the day in the admin and the permits page stops selling it. Anglers who have already bought can be refunded from the same screen.
